I can then adjust the Brightness slider with the mouse. The way I can adjust screen brightness right now is through: Menu -> Preferences -> System Settings -> Screen Saver & Lock Settings.


I have not tested adding parameters to the GRUB file. Currently does nothing.į12 -> Enable/disable Wifi. Works normally.į8 -> Forward media player. Works normally.į7 -> Play/pause media player. I have tested both situations (the brightness keys don't work with either), but left them at being straight-forward F1-F12 for normal presses, and as settings keys when the Fn button is held down. In the BIOS, I can choose whether the F1-F12 keys should work as F1-F12 when pressed directly, and as special settings keys when holding down the Fn key, or the other way around.
